FRASER/ELLIS WRITING CONTESTS 2006
A contest calling for a
piece of unpublished creative non-fiction, written from an island perspective
was announced in Fall 2005, with a deadline that was revised from January 1st
to February 1st, 2006.
The winners of the contest
read their entries at the QCI Arts Council AGM on Sunday, October 22. First-place winner was Desta Branham for her
piece “Island Time,” second-place was John Disney with “Wild Salmon,” and the third
place went to Pat Carrie Smith for “Cheechakos on the Queen Charlottes.”
