GOLDEN SPRUCE ART SHOW
The Arts Council is
sponsoring an Art Show in partnership with QC Visitors Centre to honour the
golden spruce tree near Port Clements.
Any art object can be
entered for display: literary, visual,
culinary, environmental, with any media, e.g., words, wood, fibres, metals,
glass, stone, paper, sugar, etc.
The inspiration is to be
the Golden Spruce—the tree itself, its legends, or the recent book by John
Vaillant.
The opening of the show
will open in coincidence with the Artists Fall Studio Tour on Saturday and
Sunday, November 4 and 5. The show will be open at the Queen Charlotte Visitor
Centre from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm both days.
Art must be ready for showing upon delivery to the QC Visitors Centre
prior to November 1. A reduced
commission of 20% will be charged for anyone wishing to sell his/her piece(s).
