PATRICK LANE
Patrick
Lane has won almost every top literary award in Canada, including the
Governor-General’s Award and the B.C. Book Prize. He has lived and travelled extensively around the world, and has
published many works of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and children’s poetry.
Mr. Lane visited Haida
Gwaii the weekend of June 3-4.
He did two readings for
the islands, one at the Maritime Museum in Masset on June 3, and another at the
Queen Charlotte Information Centre on June 4.
Mr. Lane also hosted a workshop on journal and memoir writing entitled
“Writing Our Memory – The Fiction of Non-Fiction.” It was held at the Nature Centre (Delkatla Sanctuary) in Masset
and enjoyed a full attendance.
