WRITING CONTEST 2006-2007
A new writing contest was announced at the QCI Arts
Council AGM. The challenge this time is
to create a vignette about the islands:
a brief, colourful and/or dramatic description focusing on an episode in
your life that relates an event or portrays an impression about an island
person, or a different fitting subject.
The story must be true. One entry per person, 500-2000 words in
English. Prize: $500.00, will be distributed according to an
off-island judge’s decision, which is final, and which will be based upon
quality of the entries. Entries must be
typed, and include a covering page with title, your name, phone, and
address. There should be no identifying
information on the pages of your story.
